เมื่อวันที่ 10 กันยายน 2569 กรมยุโรป กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธีทำลายของกลางคดีละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาที่คดีถึงที่สุดแล้ว ณ หน่วยบัญชาการป้องกันภัยทางอากาศกองทัพบก โดยมี นางปิยนุช วุฒิสอน ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงพาณิชย์ กล่าวเปิดงาน พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และสถานเอกอัครราชทูตในประเทศไทย เข้าร่วม อาทิ ผู้แทนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย และคณะผู้แทนสหภาพยุโรปประจำประเทศไทย 

พิธีดังกล่าวแสดงถึงเจตจำนงของประเทศไทยในการตัดวงจรและป้องกันไม่ให้สินค้าละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญากลับเข้าสู่ตลาด ผ่านการบังคับใช้กฎหมายทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและเป็นรูปธรรม ตามพันธกรณีระหว่างประเทศภายใต้กรอบองค์กรการค้าโลก (WTO) ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นแก่นักลงทุนทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ เพื่อส่งเสริมสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อการค้าและการลงทุนของไทย

The Department of European Affairs attends the ceremony for the Destruction of Intellectual Property Infringing Goods at the Army Air Defense Command

On 10 September 2026, the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand, attended as a witness at the ceremony for the destruction of seized counterfeit goods from intellectual property infringement cases that had reached final judgment. The ceremony was held at the Army Air Defense Command and was presided over by Ms. Piyanuch Wuttisorn, Vice Minister for Commerce. Representatives from government agencies, the private sector, and embassies in Thailand, such as the Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand and the European Union delegation to Thailand also attended the event.

The event reflected Thailand's commitment to combating counterfeit goods, and preventing them from re-entering the market through effective and concrete enforcement of intellectual property laws. Such efforts are undertaken in accordance with Thailand's international obligations under the framework of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and play an important role in strengthening the confidence of both domestic and foreign investors, as well as fostering an environment conducive to trade and investment in Thailand.
