เมื่อวันที่ 8 กันยายน 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป เป็นประธานการประชุมระดมสมองเพื่อผลักดันความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงระหว่างไทยกับภูมิภาคยุโรป โดยมีผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานด้านความมั่นคงและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกว่า 10 หน่วยงานเข้าร่วม เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์และความท้าทายด้านความมั่นคงในระดับโลกและระดับภูมิภาค รวมทั้งแนวทางการต่อยอดความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพยุโรป

ที่ประชุมได้หารือประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ การรับมือการหลอกลวงออนไลน์ (online scams) การส่งเสริมความมั่นคงปลอดภัยทางไซเบอร์ การต่อต้านภัยคุกคามรูปแบบผสม การป้องกันและปราบปรามการฟอกเงินและการต่อต้านการสนับสนุนทางการเงินแก่การก่อการร้าย โดยการประชุมครั้งนี้เป็นโอกาสให้หน่วยงานด้านความมั่นคงของไทยได้ร่วมกันกำหนดแนวทางและข้อเสนอความร่วมมือของฝ่ายไทย เพื่อผลักดันการหารือกับหุ้นส่วนในยุโรปให้ต่อเนื่อง เป็นระบบ และนำไปสู่ความร่วมมือที่เป็นรูปธรรมมากยิ่งขึ้น

Director-General of European Affairs chairs a brainstorming meeting to advance security and strategic cooperation between Thailand and Europe

On 8 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, chaired a brainstorming meeting to advance security cooperation between Thailand and Europe. The meeting brought together representatives from more than ten security-related and relevant Thai agencies to exchange views on global and regional security developments and challenges, as well as ways to further strengthen cooperation.

The meeting discussed key issues, including combatting online scams, hybrid threats, promoting cyber security and anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism. It also provided an opportunity for relevant Thai agencies to jointly develop Thailand’s approaches and proposals for cooperation, with a view to promoting more regular and structured engagement with European partners and translating discussions into more concrete cooperation.
