เมื่อวันที่ 10 ก.ย. 2569 น.ส. สมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป พบหารือกับนายวลาดีมีร์ บาราวีคอฟ (H.E. Mr. Uladzimir Baravikou) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเบลารุสประจำประเทศไทย
ถิ่นพำนัก ณ กรุงฮานอย ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เพื่อหารือแนวทางส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับเบลารุสในด้านต่าง ๆ

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคี โดยเฉพาะการแสวงหาโอกาสในการขยายความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างกัน รวมถึงการเริ่มกระบวนการเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพเศรษฐกิจยูเรเชีย (Eurasian Economic Union – EAEU) โดยเร็ว โดยฝ่ายไทยได้ขอรับการสนับสนุนจากเบลารุสในฐานะประเทศสมาชิก EAEU

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับการจัดการประชุมหารือทางการเมือง (Political Consultations) ครั้งที่ 2 และการจัดการประชุมคณะกรรมาธิการร่วมด้านการค้าและเศรษฐกิจ (Joint Trade and Economic Commission) ครั้งที่ 1 ซึ่งจะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการติดตามและขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือระหว่างกัน

On 10 September 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Thailand, resident in Hanoi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss ways to further promote bilateral relations and cooperation between Thailand and Belarus across various areas.

Both sides exchanged views on ways to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly by exploring opportunities to expand economic cooperation, including the early commencement of negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement between Thailand and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). To this end, the Thai side sought Belarus’s support, as a member of the EAEU.

In addition, both sides discussed the convening of the 2nd Political Consultations as well as the 1st Joint Trade and Economic Commission meeting. These mechanisms would serve as important platforms for following up and advancing bilateral cooperation.
