เมื่อวันที่ 25 เมษายน 2568 นางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้เข้าร่วมงานสัมมนาหัวข้อ
EU Global Gateway: Green Energy and Energy Security Scale-Up ซึ่งสถานเอกอัครราชทูตโปแลนด์ประจำประเทศไทยจัดขึ้น ณ โรงแรมดิ แอทธินี โดยมีนาง Monika Krzewicka อุปทูตฯ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตโปแลนด์ฯ เป็นผู้กล่าวเปิดงาน

Global Gateway เป็นหนึ่งในยุทธศาสตร์ที่สำคัญของสหภาพยุโรปที่เริ่มดำเนินการเมื่อปลายปี 2564โดยมีจุดประสงค์ในการส่งเสริมการลงทุนด้านโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่สำคัญต่อความเชื่อมโยงระดับภูมิภาคและโลก ใน 5 สาขา ได้แก่ ดิจิทัล สภาพภูมิอากาศและพลังงาน คมนาคม สาธารณสุข และการศึกษาและวิจัยโดยสหภาพยุโรประดมทุนจำนวน 3 แสนล้านยูโรระหว่างปี 2564-2570 (ค.ศ. 2021-2027) เพื่อใช้ดำเนินงานตามยุทธศาสตร์ดังกล่าวในรูปแบบการร่วมทุนระหว่างภาครัฐกับเอกชน และให้ความสำคัญกับการร่วมมือกับนานาประเทศเพื่อให้องค์ความรู้ เทคโนโลยีและแนวปฏิบัติที่เป็นเลิศของสหภาพยุโรปได้ถูกถ่ายทอดไปยังประเทศต่าง ๆ เพื่อพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและสังคมอย่างยั่งยืน โดยคำนึงถึงเป้าหมายการบรรลุวาระการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) และหลักการและค่านิยมของสหภาพยุโรป เช่น สิทธิมนุษยชน และการมีส่วนร่วมของของชุมชนท้องถิ่น สหภาพยุโรประดมทุน 1 หมื่นล้านยูโรสำหรับการลงทุนในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และอยู่ระหว่างการวางแผนร่วมกับอาเซียนในการสนับสนุนความเชื่อมโยงด้านพลังงานภายในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ภายใต้ยุทธศาสตร์ Global Gateway

งานสัมมนาดังกล่าวได้เชิญบุคลากรในสาขาการทูตและความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาของสหภาพยุโรปบรรยายประสบการณ์การทำงานเกี่ยวกับยุทธศาสตร์ Global Gateway และร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นกับผู้เข้าร่วม รวมถึง นาย David Daly เอกอัครราชทูตสหภาพยุโรปประจำประเทศไทย และนาย Tom Corrie หัวหน้าฝ่ายความร่วมมือ คณะผู้แทนสหภาพยุโรปประจำประเทศไทย

Gateway: Green Energy and Energy Security Scale-Up Seminar on 25 April, 2025.

On 25 April 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, attended the EU Global Gateway: Green Energy and Energy Security
Scale-Up Seminar, organized by the Embassy of Poland in Bangkok at the Athenee Hotel.
Mrs. Monika Krzewicka, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy delivered the opening remarks.

Global Gateway, launched in late 2021, is one of the EU's key strategies to promote investments in key infrastructure and connectivity projects at the regional and global level across 5 sectors: digital, climate and energy, transport, health, and education and research.

The EU is mobilizing €300 billion Euro during the period 2021–2027 to implement this strategy in the form of public-private partnerships and emphasizes cooperation with various countries around the globe to transfer knowledge, technology, and best practices from the EU to assist in the sustainable development of infrastructure and society that is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and EU’s interests and values, such as human rights and local community participation. €10 billion Euro will be invested in the Southeast Asia region and the EU is looking to support ASEAN on regional energy connectivity in Southeast Asia under the Global Gateway strategy.

The seminar invited experts from the EU’s foreign service and development cooperation field to share their working experiences related to the Global Gateway strategy and exchange views with participants, including H.E. Mr. David Daly, the EU Ambassador to Thailand, and Mr. Tom Corrie, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Thailand.
