เมื่อวันที่ 28 ตุลาคม 2569 นางศิริลักษณ์ นิยม รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย - เดนมาร์ก ครั้งที่ 8 ร่วมกับนาย Peter Lehmann Nielsen รองปลัดกระทรวงและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายปฏิบัติการ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศเดนมาร์ก

ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย - เดนมาร์ก ซึ่งยาวนานกว่า 168 ปี และมีพัฒนาการความร่วมมือระหว่างกันในสาขาความร่วมมือที่ทั้งสองประเทศมีผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน และมีจุดแข็งที่เกื้อกูลซึ่งกันและกัน โดยเฉพาะในด้านการเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงานสีเขียว เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน การศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรม สาธารณสุข ความร่วมมือด้านการเดินเรือ และความร่วมมือด้านกงสุล รวมทั้งการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีไทย - เดนมาร์ก สู่ความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับพัฒนาการสำคัญในภูมิภาค รวมถึงแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในกรอบพหุภาคี โดยเฉพาะสหภาพยุโรป และอาเซียน 

The 8th Thai-Danish Political Consultations

On 28 October 2026, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Peter Lehmann Nielsen, State Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, co-chaired the 8th round of Thailand - Denmark Political Consultations.

Both sides discussed Thailand - Denmark diplomatic relations, spanning more than 168 years, and reviewed progress in areas of cooperation where the two countries share common interests and complementary strengths, particularly in green energy transition, circular economy, education, science, research and innovation, public health, maritime cooperation, consular cooperation, including discussions on an elevation of the bilateral relations to a strategic partnership. They also exchanged views on key regional developments and explored ways to enhance cooperation in multilateral frameworks, particularly through the EU and ASEAN.
