การประชุมสภาธุรกิจฝรั่งเศส - ไทย (France - Thailand Business Forum: FTBF) ครั้งที่ ๓

เมื่อวันที่ ๓๐ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๕ นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก รองอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ในฐานะผู้แทนกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมสภาธุรกิจฝรั่งเศส - ไทย (France - Thailand Business Forum: FTBF) ครั้งที่ ๓ ประจำปี ๒๕๖๕ ณ โรงแรม the Athenee การประชุมฯ ครั้งนี้ จัดโดยคณะนักธุรกิจไทยและคณะนักธุรกิจฝรั่งเศสภายใต้สภานายจ้างฝรั่งเศสในต่างประเทศ (MEDEF International) โดยมีนายตีแยรี มาตู เอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย และผู้แทนหน่วยงานภาครัฐไทย อาทิ กระทรวงพาณิชย์ สำนักงานคณะกรรมการนโยบายเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก สำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน สำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ เข้าร่วมด้วย

รองอธิบดีกรมยุโรปได้กล่าวเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินการตามแผนการ (Roadmap) สำหรับการดำเนินความสัมพันธ์ไทย - ฝรั่งเศส (ค.ศ. ๒๐๒๒ - ๒๐๒๔) ซึ่งจะมุ่งไปสู่การยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ไปสู่ความเป็นหุ้นส่วนยุทธศาสตร์ รวมถึงประเด็นด้านเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญสำหรับความร่วมมือไทย - ฝรั่งเศส รวมทั้งประเด็นระดับโลกที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยการประชุมฯ เน้นหารือในสาขาที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความสนใจร่วมกัน ได้แก่ (๑) เมืองอัจฉริยะ (smart cities) (2) การคมนาคมขนส่ง (transport and mobility) และ (3) ความยั่งยืนและโมเดลเศรษฐกิจ BCG (sustainability and BCG model) และมีการเสวนาโต๊ะกลม

ปัจจุบัน ดร. คงกระพัน อินทรแจ้ง ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท พีทีที โกลบอล เคมิคอล จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ PTTGC เป็นประธานร่วมฝ่ายไทยของสภาธุรกิจฝรั่งเศส - ไทย ส่วนประธานร่วมฝ่ายฝรั่งเศส คือ นายฟรองซัวส์ กอร์แบง (François Corbin) รองประธานสภานายจ้างฝรั่งเศสในต่างประเทศ (MEDEF International: MEDEFi) และผู้แทนพิเศษของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกิจการยุโรปและการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส ด้านความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจกับกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน โดยนายกอร์แบงได้นำคณะนักธุรกิจฝรั่งเศสภายใต้ MEDEFi เดินทางเยือนไทย เมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ มิถุนายน - ๑ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๕ ซึ่งนับเป็นการเดินทางเยือนภูมิภาคอาเซียนของคณะ MEDEFi เป็นครั้งแรกภายหลังสถานการณ์โควิด-๑๙ และประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศแรกที่คณะมาเยือน ทั้งนี้ คณะฯ ยังได้มีโอกาสพบหารือกับนายกรัฐมนตรีในประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ แนวนโยบายเศรษฐกิจ BCG ของไทยและกิจกรรมเศรษฐกิจไทย - ฝรั่งเศส

The 3^rd France - Thailand Business Forum (FTBF) Annual Meeting

On 30 June 2022, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, as the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the 3^rd France – Thailand Business Forum (FTBF) Annual Meeting in 2022 at the Athenee Hotel, Bangkok. The meeting was co-hosted by Thai business executives and French business executives under MEDEF International (MEDEFi). Also present were H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to Thailand and representatives from the Thai public sector i.e. the Ministry of Commerce, the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), the Office of the Board of Investment (BOI), the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council.

In this connection, Deputy Director-General Somrudee shared the updates on the Roadmap for Thai – French Relations 2022 – 2024 which aims to elevate their relations to a strategic partnership, and economic priorities for the Thai – French cooperation, including related global issues. The meeting was mainly discussed in areas of mutual interest: (1) smart cities (2) transport and mobility and (3) sustainability and BCG model. There were also sectorial roundtables dedicated on the abovementioned areas.

At present, Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, CEO and President of PTT Global Chemical PCL is the Thai Co-Chair of FTBF. For the French side, Mr. François Corbin, Vice President of MEDEFi, and special representative of the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, for economic relations with ASEAN countries, is the French Co-Chair of FTBF. Mr. Corbin led the French business executives under MEDEFi to visit Thailand during 29 June - 1 July 2022 which was MEDEFi’s first post-COVID-19 pandemic mission to ASEAN and Thailand is the first country in ASEAN that the delegation paid a visit. In addition, the delegation also paid courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Thailand who shared Thailand’s key economic priorities including the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economic Model as well as guidance on Thai - French economic activities and projects.
