เมื่อวันที่ 30 สิงหาคม 2566 นายอสิ ม้ามณี อธิบดีกรมยุโรป พร้อมด้วยนางวิลาวรรณ มังคละธนะกุล เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวียนนา และผู้แทนกรมยุโรป ได้เข้าพบเพื่อเยี่ยมคารวะนายปีเตอร์ มิสิค (Peter Mišik) รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐสโลวัก ณ กรุงบราติสลาวา โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายยินดีต่อการประชุม Political Consultations ครั้งที่ 2 ที่สโลวาเกียเป็นเจ้าภาพ และได้หารือแนวทางขับเคลื่อนความสัมพันธ์ไทย-สโลวาเกีย ด้วยกลไกการประชุม Joint Economic Commission รวมทั้งการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่อุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า นอกจากนี้ ไทยได้ขอรับการสนับสนุนจากสโลวาเกียในกระบวนการเจรจาเพื่อยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราเข้าสู่เขต Schengen สำหรับหนังสือเดินทางธรรมดาของไทย

         On 30 August 2023, Mr. Asi Mamanee, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, along with Mrs. Vilawan Mangklatanakul, Ambassador of Thailand to Slovakia with residence in Vienna and a representative from the Department of European Affairs paid a courtesy call on Mr. Peter Mišik, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia in Bratislava. During the meeting, both sides congratulated the holding of the second session of the Thai-Slovak Political Consultations hosted by Slovakia, and discussed measures to move forward the Thai-Slovak relations through existing mechanisms such as the Joint Economic Commission. Both sides also discussed promotion of cooperation on the transition towards electric vehicle industry and the Thai side requested for Slovakia’s support on the Thai negotiation with the EU for a Schengen visa waiver agreement.
