เมื่อวันที่ 14 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมงานเฉลิมฉลองวันชาติฝรั่งเศส ตามคำเชิญของนายฌ็อง-โกลด ปวงเบิฟ เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย ณ โรงแรมอีสติน แกรนด์ พญาไท ซึ่งมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นแขกเกียรติยศฝ่ายไทย โดยมีผู้บริหารระดับสูงจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และคณะทูตเข้าร่วมงาน รวมถึงนางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป และคณะกรมยุโรป เข้าร่วมงานด้วย

ไทยและฝรั่งเศสมีความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นและครอบคลุมในหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน วัฒนธรรม นวัตกรรม และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชาชน โดยในปี 2568–2569 ทั้งสองประเทศร่วมเฉลิมฉลองโอกาสครบรอบ 340 ปีแห่งการติดต่อครั้งแรก และครบรอบ 170 ปีการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูต ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงมิตรภาพอันยาวนานและความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดระหว่างกัน ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังมุ่งส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในสาขาที่มีศักยภาพ เพื่อยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ไทย–ฝรั่งเศสสู่การเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ต่อไป

On 14 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, attended the reception celebrating the French National Day at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Thailand, at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok. H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, attended the event as the Guest of Honour. The reception was attended by senior representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as members of the diplomatic corps, including Ms. Somruedee Poopornaneke, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, and officials from the Department of European Affairs.

Thailand and France enjoy close and comprehensive relations spanning political, economic, trade, investment, cultural, innovation, and people-to-people cooperation. The years 2025–2026 mark significant milestones in bilateral relations, commemorating the 340th anniversary of the first contact between the two countries and the 170th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Both countries remain committed to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest and advancing Thailand–France relations towards a Strategic Partnership.
