เมื่อวันที่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2568 นางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษในงานเปิดตัวเอกสาร 2025 European Business Position Paper ภายใต้หัวข้อ Elevating Thailand’s Competitiveness: Driving Economic Transformation and Regulatory Reform ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยสมาคมการค้ายูโรเปียนเพื่อธุรกิจและการพาณิชย์ (European Association for Business and Commerce - EABC) ที่โรงแรมดิ แอทธินี โดยมีคณะทูตจากประเทศยุโรป ภาครัฐ และภาคเอกชนเข้าร่วม

อธิบดีกรมยุโรปได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษเกี่ยวกับนโยบายของรัฐบาลไทยด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ท่ามกลางสถานการณ์เศรษฐกิจโลกที่ผันผวน โดยเน้นย้ำการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้ากับยุโรป ภายใต้ความตกลงว่าด้วยความเป็นหุ้นส่วนและความร่วมมือรอบด้านระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพยุโรปและรัฐสมาชิก (PCA) และความตกลง FTA ไทย-สหภาพยุโรป ที่อยู่ระหว่างการเจรจา ซึ่งจะช่วยยกระดับมาตรฐานของไทยเข้าสู่สังคมดิจิทัลที่ยั่งยืน และเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ทั้งนี้ เอกสาร 2025 European Business Position Paper รวบรวมมุมมองและข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายจากภาคเอกชนยุโรปที่ดำเนินธุรกิจในไทยต่อแนวทางการปรับปรุงกฎระเบียบด้านการค้าการลงทุนของไทยเพื่อช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกต่อการประกอบธุรกิจ ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ในการขับเคลื่อนการปรับปรุงนโยบายเศรษฐกิจและการปฏิรูปกฏระเบียบของไทยเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพและขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน

On 15 May 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, delivered a special address at the launch of the 2025 European Business Position Paper under the theme “Elevating Thailand’s Competitiveness: Driving Economic Transformation and Regulatory Reform." The event was organized by the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) at the Athenee Hotel with participants from the European diplomatic corps, the public, and private sector.

In her remarks, the Director-General gave an overview of the Thai government's policies on trade, investment, and sustainable development amid the volatile global economic landscape in which she emphasized the importance of enhancing trade relations with Europe under the Thai-EU Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) and the Thai-EU FTA that is currently under negotiation which would elevate Thailand’s standards and transition towards a digital, sustainable, and environmentally-friendly society. The 2025 European Business Position Paper compiles insights and policy recommendations from European businesses operating in Thailand with regard to improving Thailand’s trade, investment, and regulatory environment to enhance business facilitation. These recommendations would be beneficial in driving economic policy changes and regulatory reform to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
