Water Diplomacy: 420 years and Solutions to Flood Prevention

          กระทรวงการต่างประเทศขอเชิญร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 420 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-เนเธอร์แลนด์ และรับฟังการเสวนาพิเศษหัวข้อ Water Diplomacy: 420 years and Solutions to Flood Prevention ร่วมกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการบริหารจัดการน้ำของทั้งสองประเทศ ในวันที่ 24 กันยายน 2567 เวลา 09.00-12.00 น. ณ ห้องนราธิป กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ

          ภายในงาน ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้รับฟังการบรรยายพิเศษ “วิศวกรดัตช์กับพัฒนาการชลประทานและเมืองกรุงเทพฯ ในช่วงรัชกาลที่ 5” โดย รศ. ดร. พีรศรี โพวาทอง อาจารย์ประจำคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และร่วมคุยกันแบบสบาย ๆ เกี่ยวกับการจัดการกับปัญหาน้ำท่วม การแก้ไขปัญหาในบริบทของแต่ละประเทศ กับผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านน้ำจากสถาบัน Deltares, IHE Delft, สำนักงานทรัพยากรน้ำแห่งชาติ, กรมชลประทาน และกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ (ด้านความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ) ราชอาณาจักรเนเธอร์แลนด์ ได้ให้เกียรติมาเปิดงานดังกล่าว และคุณวีณารัตน์ เลาหภคกุล ผู้สื่อข่าว เป็นผู้ดำเนินรายการ

Water Diplomacy: 420 years and Solutions to Flood Prevention

          The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand would like to invite you to join the celebration of the 420^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Netherlands and participate in a special panel discussion under the theme “Water Diplomacy: 420 years and Solutions to Flood Prevention” with experts in water management from both countries on 24 September 2024 from 09.00 – 12.00 hrs. at Narathip Auditorium, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

          During the event, participants will have the opportunity to listen to the special lecture titled "The Dutch Hydraulic Engineers in Siam during the Reign of King Chulalongkorn: Transnational History of Water Control in the Chao Phraya River Basin" delivered by Assoc. Prof. Pirasri Povatong, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University. Afterwards, participants will engage in a casual discussion on flood management and potential solutions with experts from Deltares Institute, IHE Delft, the Office of National Water Resources, the Royal Irrigation Department, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

          The seminar will be inaugurated by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, together with the Vice-Minister for Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Mr. Michiel Sweers. The session will be moderated by Ms. Veenarat Laohapakakul, a prominent journalist.
