เมื่อวันที่ ๒๘ ธันวาคม ๒๕๖๔ นางแซรัป แอร์ซอย เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐตุรกีประจำประเทศ เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายอสิ ม้ามณี อธิบดีกรมยุโรป เนื่องในโอกาสที่เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้ารับหน้าที่และอธิบดีกรมยุโรปเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว ทั้งสองฝ่ายยินดีกับความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีไทย-ตุรกีที่ดำเนินมาอย่างราบรื่น รวมทั้งเห็นพ้องที่จะขยายความร่วมมือให้ครอบคลุมมิติต่าง ๆ มากยิ่งขึ้น ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน ความมั่นคง ความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนา การศึกษาและวิชาการ การท่องเที่ยว วัฒนธรรม ตลอดจน วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม โดยเฉพาะความร่วมมือด้านอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือผ่านกลไกทวิภาคีที่ได้จัดตั้งขึ้นร่วมกัน อาทิ คณะกรรมการร่วมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและวิชาการไทย-ตุรกี และการเจรจาจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย-ตุรกี เพื่อขับเคลื่อนผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันในด้านต่าง ๆ และกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสองประเทศให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Thailand paid a courtesy call on Director-General of the Department of European Affairs

On 28 December 2021, H.E. Mrs. Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Asi Mamanee, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, on the occasion of the former’s assumption of duty as Ambassador and the latter’s assumption of duty as the Director-General.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the cordial ties between Thailand and Turkey as well as concurred to further deepen cooperation, including political and security collaboration, trade and investment, development cooperation, education, tourism, culture, science, technology, and innovation, particularly in the field of defence industry. Furthermore, both sides discussed ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations through the existing mechanisms. These include the Joint Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation (JETC) and current negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand and Turkey in order to drive forward mutual interest in various areas and to reinforce closer relations between the two countries.
