Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya is a member of the younger generation of the Thai Royal Family, distinguished by her exceptional talent in equestrian sport, fashion, and music. Each of these fields demands discipline, refinement, and deep understanding. Together, they form a unified identity that is elegant, contemporary, and internationally recognized.

 

HRH Princess Sirivannavari developed an early interest in equestrian sport, inspired by HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajararajadhita. After completing her fashion studies in France, she began intensive training at the 2nd Cavalry Division, King’s Guard. In 2012, she competed in the Thailand Championship King’s Cup, winning the Junior Freestyle Dressage title. She also secured second runner-up in the team show-jumping event.

 

Between 2011 and 2021, HRH the Princess further trained in dressage in France, joining the respected instructor program at Le Cadre Noir in Saumur. She progressed from Medium to Grand Prix levels, becoming the first Thai national to complete comprehensive equestrian training in France in sport, coaching, and horse management. She shared her expertise with the riding teams she supports.

 

During this period, she represented Thailand in major international competitions, including the 2013 Southeast Asian Games, the 2014 Asian Games, the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, and the FEI Asian Championships 2019, winning gold medals in team dressage.

 

Since 2021, HRH the Princess has continued her training in Germany with Matthias Alexander Rath, a world-class German dressage rider, at Gestüt Schafhof in Kronberg. There, she advanced from Prix St. George and Intermediate I to the highest levels of the sport, Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special, in preparation for future international competitions. Her dedication to equestrian sport has led her to represent Thailand at major international competitions, including the FEI Asian Championship 2025, where she won the team dressage gold medal, and the Asian Games 2022 in the People’s Republic of China and, most recently, the 20th Asian Games in Japan from 19 September to 4 October 2026.

 

The same rigor and refinement found in dressage also shape the Princess’s work in fashion, reflecting how mastery in physical discipline translates into creative expression. As the founder and creative director of the internationally acclaimed brands SIRIVANNAVARI and S’HOMME, she is recognized for designs that blend contemporary artistry with timeless elegance. Equestrianism inspires her fashion—not merely as sport, but as an art rooted in discipline, balance, and beauty—demonstrating how her approach in one field informs her vision in another. These qualities are reinterpreted through haute couture and modern silhouettes, striking a balance between structure and freedom of movement.

 

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to design, the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture under Thailand’s Ministry of Culture presented her with the Silpathorn Artist Award in 2018 in the field of fashion and accessory design.

 

HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya has played a significant role in preserving, advancing and bringing Thai textiles and traditional royal Thai dress to the international stage. Her work brings together the rich knowledge and craftsmanship of Thailand’s textile heritage with contemporary design, as reflected in major exhibitions—“La Mode en Majesté: Royal Thai Dress from Tradition to Modernity” in Paris and “Chud Thai: The Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Practices of the Thai National Costume” in Tokyo. Her vision is also evident in the design of the official ceremonial uniforms for Thailand’s national athletes at the 20th Asian Games in Japan, incorporating textiles from the Don Koi Model project in Sakon Nakhon. Through contemporary design, local craftsmanship and community heritage are brought into a global context, underscoring her vision of preserving the cultural identity and enduring value of Thai textiles while giving them renewed relevance on the world stage. Furthermore, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay presented Her Royal Highness with a commemorative medal in recognition of Her Royal Highness’s exceptional contributions to the preservation of cultural heritage, the promotion of the fine arts, and the advancement of Thailand’s cultural and creative industries in July this year.

 

Music is another realm in which HRH the Princess demonstrates exceptional talent and commitment, drawing on the focused discipline she applies across her pursuits. Her love for music began in childhood and was profoundly influenced by her grandfather, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, whose classical and jazz compositions are admired worldwide. Growing up surrounded by music, HRH the Princess came to cherish its power to bring happiness, soften hearts, and reveal the inherent beauty of art and culture—values that resonate with the discipline and artistry she pursues in equestrian sport and fashion.

HRH the Princess has served as Patron of the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) since 2018. Her vision is to elevate the ensemble to the ranks of leading orchestras in the Asia-Pacific region, on par with Europe’s finest. In 2023, she led the RBSO to perform a historic European tour in Vienna, Munich, and Paris, marking a milestone for Thai classical music on the international stage. She continues to oversee long-term planning for annual concerts in Thailand and abroad.

 

HRH the Princess is also an acclaimed composer. She started composing musical works to be used for her fashion shows. Her musical compositions include Lost in Mystical Garden (2016), SERENITY (2017), Horse, Helen, Henry (2018), and Adobe of Metamorphosis (2019). Other royal compositions are Mythos Poetica (2020), Nefreretta (2021), and Le Mariage de Minuit – Fantaisie pour piano et orchestra (2021). These works require a high level of technical musical expertise and show her distinctive compositional style.

 

Across equestrian sport, fashion, and music, HRH the Princess employs universal languages—each demanding distinct yet complementary forms of discipline and artistry—to engage with the world. Her endeavors draw from and reinforce one another, combining disciplined training with aesthetic excellence and rhythmic vitality. In uniting these fields, she enhances Thailand’s international standing in sport, art, and culture, leaving a lasting imprint on the global stage.
