การประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-ยูเครน ครั้งที่ 3

          เมื่อวันที่ 3 กุมภาพันธ์ 2565 นายอสิ ม้ามณี อธิบดีกรมยุโรป เป็นประธานในการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-ยูเครน ครั้งที่ 3 ผ่านระบบการประชุมทางไกล ร่วมกับนายดมีโตร โปโนมาเรนโก (Dmytro Ponomarenko) อธิบดีกรมภูมิภาคที่ 4 (รับผิดชอบภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก) กระทรวงการต่างประเทศยูเครน โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงวอร์ซอ (เขตอาณาครอบคลุมยูเครน) อุปทูตฯ ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูตยูเครนประจำประเทศไทย รวมถึงผู้แทนจากสถาบันการต่างประเทศเทวะวงศ์วโรปการ กระทรวงพาณิชย์ กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ สำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (สทอภ.) เข้าร่วม

          ทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความยินดีกับการครบรอบ 30 ปีของความสัมพันธ์ไทย-ยูเครนในปี 2565 รวมถึงได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมและขยายความร่วมมือทวิภาคีอย่างรอบด้าน โดยเฉพาะด้านการค้าการลงทุน การเกษตรและอาหาร วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม การท่องเที่ยว และวัฒนธรรม นอกจากนั้น ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับประเด็นภูมิภาคและพหุภาคีที่มีความสนใจร่วมกันด้วย

          การประชุม Political Consultations เป็นกลไกสำคัญเพื่อติดตามและขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือทวิภาคีระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศไทย-ยูเครน โดยมีการจัดประชุม Political Consultations ครั้งที่ 1 เมื่อปี 2552 และครั้งที่ 2 เมื่อปี 2562 ที่กรุงเคียฟ สำหรับการประชุมครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นหนึ่งในกิจกรรมสำคัญ ในการฉลองครบรอบ 30 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยกับยูเครน

The 3rd Thai-Ukrainian Political Consultations

          On 3 February 2022, Mr. Asi Mamanee, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, co-chaired the 3rd Thai-Ukrainian Political Consultations with Mr. Dmytro Ponomarenko, Director-General of the Fourth Territorial Department (Asia-Pacific Region), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine via video conferencing. This virtual meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Thailand to Poland (with jurisdiction over Ukraine), Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in Bangkok, the representatives from the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand and Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA).

          Both sides expressed satisfaction with the 30th anniversary of Thai-Ukraine diplomatic relations in 2022 and discussed ways to further expand the bilateral cooperation, especially in trade and investment, food and agriculture, science, technology and innovation, tourism and culture. Both sides also exchanged views on their respective regions.

          The Political Consultations is an important mechanism between the Thai and Ukrainian Ministries of Foreign Affairs to follow-up on and to advance bilateral cooperation. The 1st and 2nd Political Consultations were held in 2009 and 2019 in Kyiv respectively. This virtual Meeting is one of the activities to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Ukraine.
