การประชุมเตรียมการสำหรับการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-ฝรั่งเศส ครั้งที่ ๓

เมื่อวันที่ ๑๗ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๔ นางจุฬามณี ชาติสุวรรณ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้เป็นประธานในการประชุมเตรียมการสำหรับการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-ฝรั่งเศส ครั้งที่ ๓ ผ่านระบบการประชุมทางไกลระหว่างหน่วยงานไทยที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยที่ประชุมได้หารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือใหม่ที่เป็นรูปธรรมระหว่างไทยและฝรั่งเศส อาทิ ความมั่นคง เศรษฐกิจการค้าและการลงทุน สาธารณสุข วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี การศึกษา และวัฒนธรรมและการท่องเที่ยว นอกจากนี้ ที่ประชุมยังเห็นพ้องกับการผลักดันความร่วมมือในมิติต่าง ๆ กับฝรั่งเศสเพื่อเป็นการขับเคลื่อนนโยบายเศรษฐกิจใหม่ Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) ของไทย ผ่านการจัดทำร่าง Roadmap ความสัมพันธ์ไทย-ฝรั่งเศส ปี ๒๕๖๔-๒๕๖๖        เพื่อยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งสองประเทศสู่การเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ ภายในปี ๒๕๖๖

การประชุม Political Consultations เป็นกลไกการหารือทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับฝรั่งเศส โดยฝ่ายไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุม Political Consultations ครั้งที่ ๑ ระดับอธิบดี เมื่อวันที่ ๑๔ ตุลาคม ๒๕๕๙ ที่ประเทศไทย และครั้งที่ ๒ ระดับรองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เมื่อวันที่ ๒๕ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๒ ณ กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส กระทรวงการต่างประเทศมีกำหนดจัดการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-ฝรั่งเศส ครั้งที่ ๓
ระดับรองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ในวันที่ ๓๐ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๔ ผ่านระบบการประชุมทางไกล โดยมีนายดุสิต เมนะพันธุ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และนาง Anne Gueguen รองปลัดกระทรวงกิจการยุโรปและการต่างประเทศฝรั่งเศส     เป็นประธานร่วม

Preparatory Meeting for the 3^rd Thai-French Political Consultations

On 17 June 2021, Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Director-General of the Department                of European Affairs, chaired the preparatory meeting among Thai agencies concerned for the 3^rd Thai-French Political Consultations via video conference. The preparatory meeting discussed ways forward to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations and concrete cooperation between Thailand and France in various areas such as defense and security, economic, trade and investment, public health, science and technology, education, and culture and tourism. In addition, the meeting also agreed to push forward cooperation in key areas with France to promote Thailand's new economic policy, BCG, through a Roadmap for Thai-French Relations for the year 2021-2023 with the objective to establishing a strategic partnership between Thailand and France by 2023.

The Thai-French Political Consultations is a platform to promote and review bilateral relations and cooperation. The 1^st Thai-French Political Consultations at Director-General Level was hosted by the Thai side in Bangkok on 14 October 2016. The 2^nd Thai-French Political Consultations at Deputy Permanent Secretary level was hosted by the French side in Paris on 25 June 2019. The Thai side plans to host the 3^rd Thai-French Political Consultations at Deputy Permanent Secretary level on 30 June 2021 via video conference. The Consulations will be co-chaired by Mr. Dusit Manapan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and Mrs. Anne Gueguen, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
