เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐตุรกีประจำประเทศไทยเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ในโอกาสที่อธิบดีกรมยุโรปเข้ารับตำแหน่ง

            เมื่อวันที่ ๓ เมษายน ๒๕๖๗ นางแซรัป แอร์ซอย เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐตุรกีประจำประเทศไทยได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ในโอกาสที่อธิบดีกรมยุโรปเข้ารับตำแหน่ง

            ทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความยินดีกับพลวัตและพัฒนาการในความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีไทย-ตุรกีที่เพิ่มพูนมากขึ้น ในปี ๒๕๖๖ และได้ใช้โอกาสดังกล่าวหารือประเด็นการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีในหลายด้าน อาทิ การเมือง เศรษฐกิจ สังคม ความมั่นคงและการป้องกันประเทศ การอุดมศึกษา ตลอดจนการเพิ่มพูนปฏิสัมพันธ์ในระดับสูง นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้แจ้งการสนับสนุนของตุรกีต่อการสมัครเข้าเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนา (OECD) ของประเทศไทย

            ในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้เน้นย้ำถึงเจตนารมณ์ร่วมของทั้งสองประเทศในการสานต่อการดำเนินความสัมพันธ์และขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือตามแผนปฏิบัติการร่วมไทย-ตุรกี ฉบับที่ ๒ ค.ศ. ๒023-2028 เพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์เป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ภายในปี 2571 ทั้งนี้ ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างประเทศไทยกับสาธารณรัฐตุรกีดำเนินมาด้วยดีกว่า ๖๕ ปี นับตั้งแต่การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันในปี 2501

Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Thailand
paid a courtesy call on Director-General of the Department of European Affairs on the occasion of    the latter’s assumption of duty

            On 3 April 2024, Her Excellency Mrs. Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty.

            Both sides welcomed the increased dynamism and positive developments of Thai-Turkish relations in 2023 and discussed ways to further enhance bilateral relations in various areas such as political, economic and social cooperation as well as defence and security, higher education, and high-level engagements. Moreover, Ambassador Ersoy also informed the Thai side that Türkiye agreed to support Thailand’s application to become a member of the Organisation for Economic
Co-operation and Development (OECD).

            On this occasion, both sides emphasized the mutual objective in strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries in accordance with the 2^nd Thai-Turkish Joint Plan of Action (2023-2028) with the aim of establishing a strategic partnership by or before 2027. Thailand and Türkiye have enjoyed diplomatic relations for more than 65 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1958.
