เมื่อวันที่ 2 ตุลาคม 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้พบหารือกับนาง Nicola Pollitt เอกอัครราชทูตสหราชอาณาจักรประจำประเทศไทย พร้อมด้วยนาย Paul Bute รองอธิบดีกรมเอเชียแปซิฟิก กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เครือจักรภพและการพัฒนาสหราชอาณาจักร เพื่อติดตามผลการเยือนสหราชอาณาจักรของนายกรัฐมนตรี เมื่อวันที่ 25–26 กันยายน 2569 และหารือถึงแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือภายใต้ความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่างไทยกับสหราชอาณาจักร

 

ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึงโอกาสในการร่วมมือกันในช่วงที่สหราชอาณาจักรดำรงตำแหน่งประธานกลุ่ม G20 ในปี 2570 และไทยดำรงตำแหน่งประธานอาเซียนในปี 2571

 

 

On 2 October 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Nicola Pollitt, British Ambassador to Thailand, who was accompanied by Mr. Paul Bute, Deputy Director for Southeast Asia and Pacific at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The two sides followed up on the outcomes of the Prime Minister’s visit to the United Kingdom on 25–26 September 2026 and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation under the Thailand–UK Strategic Partnership.

 

Both sides also discussed opportunities to cooperate during the United Kingdom’s G20 Presidency in 2027 and Thailand’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2028.
