เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้แทนกรมยุโรป ได้พบหารือกับพลเอก สุระ สายอุบล ผู้อำนวยการสำนักนโยบายและแผนกลาโหม พร้อมด้วยพลโท เทวัญ ตันกุล หัวหน้าสำนักงานประสานภารกิจทางทหารกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และผู้บริหารสำนักนโยบายและแผนกลาโหม ณ ศาลาว่าการกลาโหม โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้เห็นพ้องบูรณาการ
การทำงานร่วมกันเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศไทยกับประเทศในภูมิภาคยุโรปในด้านต่าง ๆ อาทิ กลาโหม อุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ความมั่นคงทางทะเล การปฏิบัติการทุ่นระเบิดเพื่อมนุษยธรรม (humanitarian demining) และการส่งเสริมนโยบายชดเชยการนำเข้ายุทโธปกรณ์ (offset policy) 

Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, held a meeting with H.E. Gen Sura Saiubol, Director-General of the Office of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defence of Thailand

On 27 August 2026, H.E. Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand along with a delegation from the Department of European Affairs, held a meeting with H.E. Gen Sura Saiubol, Director-General of the Office of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defence of Thailand, Lt.Gen Tawan Tunkul, Director of Office of Military Affairs Coordination to The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and executives from the Defence Policy and Planning Office at the Ministry of Defence. Both sides reaffirmed readiness to work closely to promote cooperation between Thailand and countries in Europe in various fields including defence, defence industry, maritime security, humanitarian demining and promoting the offset policy.
