เมื่อวันที่ 24 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้พบหารือกับนาย Calin Mitri อธิบดีกรมกิจการระหว่างประเทศ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศโรมาเนีย ณ กรุงบูคาเรสต์ โรมาเนีย ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคี และการขยายความร่วมมือในสาขาต่าง ๆ อาทิ การค้า การลงทุน และการท่องเที่ยว โดยฝ่ายโรมาเนียแจ้งแผนการเปิดเส้นทางการบินบูคาเรสต์–กรุงเทพฯ เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างสองประเทศ ในโอกาสนี้ ฝ่ายไทยได้ขอรับการสนับสนุนจากโรมาเนียในการเจรจาจัดทำ FTA ไทย-สหภาพยุโรป ซึ่งโรมาเนียเป็นประเทศสมาชิก

นอกจากนี้ เมื่อวันที่ 25 พฤศจิกายน 2568 อธิบดีกรมยุโรปยังเป็นประธานการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-บัลแกเรีย ครั้งที่ 1 ณ กรุงโซเฟีย สาธารณรัฐบัลแกเรีย ร่วมกับนาย Todor Stoyanov อธิบดีฝ่ายความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคี กระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐบัลแกเรีย โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านการค้า การลงทุน การท่องเที่ยว วัฒนธรรม การศึกษา ตลอดจนการสนับสนุนการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างภาคเอกชนของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ไทย–บัลแกเรียให้มีความใกล้ชิดและเป็นรูปธรรมยิ่งขึ้น ในโอกาสนี้ ฝ่ายไทยขอรับการสนับสนุนจากบัลแกเรียในการดำเนินความสัมพันธ์กับสหภาพยุโรป โดยเฉพาะการจัดทำ FTA ไทย-สหภาพยุโรป

On 24 November 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, met with Mr. Calin Mitri, Director General for Global Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, in Bucharest. Both sides exchanged views on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various areas, including trade, investment, and tourism. The Romanian side informed the Thai side of its plan to open a Bucharest–Bangkok direct flight route to promote tourism between the two countries. On this occasion, the Thai side sought Romania’s support in the negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Thailand and the European Union.

On 25 November 2025, the Director-General of the Department of European Affairs also co-chaired the 1st Thailand–Bulgaria Political Consultations in Sofia, the Republic of Bulgaria, with Mr. Todor Stoyanov, General Director for Bilateral Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. Both sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in all dimensions, including trade, investment, tourism, culture, and education, as well as to promote exchanges between the private sectors of the two countries in order to further strengthen and advance Thailand–Bulgaria relations in a more concrete manner. The Thai side also sought Bulgaria’s support in advancing Thailand’s relations with the European Union, particularly regarding the FTA between Thailand and European Union.
