เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐโปรตุเกสประจำประเทศไทยเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะอธิบดีกรมยุโรปในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่

             เมื่อวันที่ ๒๗ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๗ นายลูวิช มานูแวล ดือ มากาไญช์ ดือ อัลบูแกร์ก วือโลซู (H.E. Mr. Luís Manuel de Magalhães de Albuquerque Veloso) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐโปรตุเกสประจำประเทศไทย ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ รวมทั้งได้แสดงความยินดีกับอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ด้วย

            ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมและต่อยอดความร่วมมือทวิภาคีที่เป็นผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันในหลากหลายมิติ โดยเฉพาะการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนระดับสูง นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงการจัดทำและลงนามความตกลงต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ ความตกลงระหว่างสาธารณรัฐโปรตุเกสและราชอาณาจักรไทยว่าด้วยการยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราสำหรับผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางทูตและราชการ และหนังสือเดินทางพิเศษบันทึกความเข้าใจระหว่างกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศและ Camões - Instituto da Cooperação de Lingua ความตกลงด้านการศึกษา รวมทั้งการจัดการประชุม Political Dialogue ครั้งที่ ๓ ณ กรุงเทพฯในปี ๒๕๖๗ ด้วย

            อนึ่ง ปี ๒๕๖๗ เป็นปีที่ครบรอบ ๕๑๓ ปี ที่โปรตุเกสเข้ามาเจริญสัมพันธไมตรีกับประเทศไทยเป็นครั้งแรก นับจากปี ๒๐๕๔ ที่นายDuarte Fernandes ราชทูตโปรตุเกสได้เดินทางมายังอยุธยาและเข้าเฝ้าสมเด็จพระรามาธิบดีที่ ๒

Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to Thailand paid a courtesy call
on Director-General of the Department of European Affairs
on the occasion of the assumption of duty

            On 27 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Luís Manuel de Magalhães de Albuquerque Veloso, Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to Thailand paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs on the occasion of his assumption of duty, and also congratulated Director-General for the assumption of her duty.

            On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to enhance and build on bilateral cooperation in diverse areas, especially in high-level exchange of visits. In addition, both sides discussed the establishing and signing of bilateral agreements, such as the Agreement between the Portuguese Republic and the Kingdom of Thailand on the Exemption of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic, Official or Special Passports, the Memorandum of Understanding between Thailand International Cooperation Agency and Camões - Instituto da Cooperação de Lingua, the Agreement on Education. Furthermore, both sides discussed the holding of the 3^rd Thai - Portuguese Political Dialogue in Bangkok later in 2024.

            This year marks 513 years since the first Portuguese diplomatic mission to Siam when Duarte Fernandes, the Portuguese Envoy, travelled to Ayutthaya and held audience with King Ramathibodi II in 1511.
