เมื่อวันที่ 26 มี.ค. 2567 นายดาริอุส ไกดีส เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐลิทัวเนียประจำประเทศไทย ถิ่นพำนัก ณ สิงคโปร์ เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ในโอกาสที่อธิบดีกรมยุโรปเข้ารับตำแหน่ง

            ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงการเตรียมการประชุม Political Consultation ไทย – ลิทัวเนีย ครั้งที่ 4 และการลงนามความตกลงยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราหนังสือเดินทางทูตและราชการไทย-ลิทัวเนีย ซึ่งมีกำหนดจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 18 มิ.ย. 2567 ตลอดจนแนวทางการส่งเสริมการค้าการลงทุนและความร่วมมือด้านเทคโนโลยีของทั้งสองประเทศ การสนับสนุนจากลิทัวเนียในการเร่งการเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างไทย-EU และการสมัครเข้าเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนา (OECD) ของไทย

            On 26 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Darius Gaidys, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Thailand with residence in Singapore, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, on the occasion of her assumption of duty.             Both sides discussed the preparation of the 4th Thai-Lithuanian Political Consultations and the signing ceremony for the Agreement between Thailand and Lithuania on the Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Official or Service Passports, scheduled to be held on 18 June 2024. Additionally, both sides discussed ways to enhance trade, investment, and technical cooperation between the two countries. The Thai side also sought support for expediting the negotiations of the Thai-EU FTA and the Thailand’s accession to the OECD.
