อธิบดีกรมยุโรปพบหารือเอกอัครราชทูตราชรัฐลักเซมเบิร์กประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่

เมื่อวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ต้อนรับนาย Sam Schreiner เอกอัครราชทูตราชรัฐลักเซมเบิร์กประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่
ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือแนวทางส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคี รวมถึงการเตรียมการเยือนไทยของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังลักเซมเบิร์ก เพื่อเข้าร่วมการประชุมประจำปี IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings และการส่งเสริมการเยือนระดับสูงระหว่างกัน
ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องถึงความสำคัญของการยึดมั่นในกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศและการส่งเสริมระบบพหุภาคีนิยม พร้อมหารือความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาระหว่างกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศกับ LuxDev ซึ่งร่วมกับรัฐบาล สปป. ลาว ดำเนินโครงการพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านอาชีวศึกษาและยกระดับมาตรฐานด้านสาธารณสุข
ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือความร่วมมือด้านเทคโนโลยีทางการเงินและการลงทุนที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยเฉพาะการนำพันธบัตรรัฐบาลเพื่อความยั่งยืน (SSB) เข้าจดทะเบียนใน Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) นอกจากนี้ ฝ่ายไทยขอบคุณลักเซมเบิร์กที่สนับสนุนมาตรการ Visa Cascade ของสหภาพยุโรปสำหรับผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางไทย การยกระดับความร่วมมือด้านการตรวจลงตรา
เพื่อมุ่งสู่การยกเว้นวีซ่าเชงเกนสำหรับคนไทย และการผลักดันการเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย–สหภาพยุโรป ด้วย
Director-General of the Department of European Affairs meets the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand on his assumption of duties.
On 6 October 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, received H.E. Mr. Sam Schreiner, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand, on the occasion of his assumption of duties.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, including preparations for the visit to Thailand of Luxembourg's Minister of Finance to attend the IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings, and the promotion of high-level exchanges between the two countries.
Both sides agreed on the importance of upholding international law and promoting multilateralism. They also discussed development cooperation between the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and LuxDev, which is working with the Government of the Lao PDR on projects to build vocational education capacity and raise public health standards.
The two sides also discussed financial technology and sustainable investment, particularly the listing of Thailand's Sovereign Sustainability Bond (SSB) on the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX). Thailand thanked Luxembourg for its support for the EU's Visa Cascade scheme for Thai passport holders applying for Schengen visas, and for closer Thailand-EU cooperation on visa matters, with the aim of achieving Schengen visa exemption for Thai nationals. Thailand also thanked Luxembourg for its support for the Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
