เมื่อวันที่ ๓๐ สิงหาคม ๒๕67 นางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ให้การต้อนรับผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์วิทยาลัยนานาชาติอิสลามกรุงเทพ มหาวิทยาลัยเกริก นำโดยอาจารย์กัปตันอำพล ขำวิลัย รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิชาการและศิลปวัฒนธรรม เพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาระหว่างไทยกับตุรกี

                   ในโอกาสดังกล่าว ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือ
ด้านการศึกษาระหว่างสองประเทศ อาทิ ความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษา ทุนการศึกษา ความเป็นไปได้ในการจัดตั้งศูนย์ศึกษาตุรกีในกรุงเทพฯ โดยเห็นพ้องร่วมกันว่า ตุรกีเป็นประเทศที่มีความสำคัญและมีศักยภาพโดดเด่นในด้านต่าง ๆ รวมถึงในด้านการศึกษา และการเป็นประเทศมุสลิมสายกลางขนาดใหญ่ที่เป็น “secular state” และมีความทันสมัยในยุโรป นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์
ทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับตุรกีทั้งในด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจการค้า สังคมและวัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนบทบาทของตุรกีในการเมืองระหว่างประเทศในปัจจุบัน 

                   ทั้งนี้ อธิบดีกรมยุโรปเน้นย้ำถึงความพร้อมและความยินดีที่จะเป็นสื่อกลางในการประสานงานระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยเกริกกับภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องของตุรกี โดยเห็นว่า ความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษามีบทบาทสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีไทย-ตุรกีในภาพรวมให้มีความแน่นแฟ้นมากยิ่งขึ้นต่อไป

Director-General of the Department of European Affairs welcomed executives
and academic members of the International Islamic College Bangkok, Krirk University

                   On 30 August 2024, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, welcomed and had a meeting with executives and academic members of the International Islamic College Bangkok, Krirk University, led by Mr. Aumpol Khamwilai, Vice Dean Academic Affaris, Research, Arts and Culture of the College, to discuss educational cooperation between Thailand and Türkiye.

                   On this occasion, both sides exchanged views on promoting educational cooperation between the two countries such as higher education cooperation between academic institutions, scholarships, the possibility to establish a Turkish Study Center in Bangkok. Both sides concurred that Türkiye is an important country which has prominent potential in various areas including education, as well as being a large modern secular state in Europe. Furthermore, both sides also discussed bilateral relations between Thailand and Türkiye in the areas of politics, economic and trade, society and culture as well as Türkiye’s recent role in international politics.

                   The Director-General of the Department of European Affairs stressed her readiness and willingness to coordinate between Krirk University and Turkish relevant agencies, viewing that educational cooperation is an important contribution to moving forward overall Thai-Turkish bilateral relations.
