เมื่อวันที่ ๒๓ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๙ นางลีรียา เบรีชา (Lirija Berisha) ว่าที่เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐคอซอวอประจำประเทศไทย ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว อธิบดีกรมยุโรปได้แสดงความยินดีกับนางเบรีชาในโอกาสที่ได้รับความเห็นชอบ จากรัฐบาลไทยให้ดำรงตำแหน่งเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐคอซอวอประจำประเทศไทย พร้อมทั้งแสดงความชื่นชมนางเบรีชาที่ได้ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสาธารณรัฐคอซอวอกับประเทศไทยอย่างแข็งขัน

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมการสำหรับการประชุมหารือทวิภาคี (Bilateral Consultations) ไทย - คอซอวอ ครั้งที่ ๑ ซึ่งไทยพร้อมเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดในปีนี้ที่กรุงเทพฯ ในช่วงเวลาที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องร่วมกัน โดยอธิบดีกรมยุโรปได้แสดงความพร้อมที่จะทำงานร่วมกับฝ่ายคอซอวอเพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศไทยกับสาธารณรัฐคอซอวอ พร้อมเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการเสาะหาสาขาความร่วมมือที่เป็นประโยชน์ร่วมกันต่อไป

On 23 July 2026, Mrs. Lirija Berisha, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Kosovo to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.

On this occasion, the Director-General congratulated Mrs. Berisha on being granted the agrément for her appointment as Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Kingdom of Thailand. The Director-General also expressed appreciation for Mrs. Berisha’s active efforts to promote cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Kingdom of Thailand.

Furthermore, both sides discussed preparations for the inaugural Thailand-Kosovo Bilateral Consultations, which Thailand stands ready to host later this year in Bangkok at a mutually convenient time. The Director-General expressed her readiness to work with the Kosovo side to strengthen relations between both countries and emphasised the importance of identifying potential areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
