เมื่อวันที่ 8 พฤษภาคม 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก รักษาการอธิบดีกรมยุโรป ร่วมบรรยายและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นในงานเสวนา “เปิดประตูสู่ตลาดสหภาพยุโรป: การเตรียมความพร้อมสู่ความสำเร็จด้านธุรกิจ”
ณ สภาหอการค้าไทย โดยมีผู้แทนจากทั้งภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนเข้าร่วมบรรยายและรับฟังการบรรยายเป็นจำนวนมาก

การเสวนาในครั้งนี้ได้ตอกย้ำความสำคัญของตลาดสหภาพยุโรปต่อภาคธุรกิจไทย พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจเชิงลึกแก่ผู้ประกอบการ SME และหน่วยงานภาครัฐเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมความพร้อมและการขับเคลื่อนภาคธุรกิจให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานและความต้องการของตลาดสหภาพยุโรปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

ทั้งนี้ รักษาการอธิบดีกรมยุโรปได้ให้ข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับพลวัตภายในสหภาพยุโรป และเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญ
ที่ภาคธุรกิจไทยควรเร่งคว้าโอกาสในการก้าวขึ้นเป็นหุ้นส่วนที่เชื่อถือได้ของสหภาพยุโรป เพื่อเสริมสร้าง
ความเชื่อมั่นและยกระดับความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างกันอย่างยั่งยืน

Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs Highlights Opportunities for Thai Businesses in the EU Market at Thai Chamber of Commerce Seminar

On 8 May 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, participated in and delivered remarks at the seminar entitled “Gateway to the EU Market: Preparing for Business Success,” held at the Thai Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together a large number of representatives from both the public and private sectors.

The seminar highlighted the importance of the European Union (EU) market to Thailand’s business sector and aimed to strengthen understanding among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and relevant government agencies regarding the preparations and business adjustments necessary to effectively comply with EU regulations and market requirements.

During the discussion, Ms. Somrudee shared perspectives on the evolving internal dynamics of the European Union and emphasized the importance of Thai businesses positioning themselves as “Trusted Partners” of the EU. She noted that building mutual trust would contribute to strengthening sustainable economic cooperation and creating new opportunities for closer Thailand–EU economic engagement.

The seminar also served as a platform for exchanging views on strategies to enhance
the competitiveness of Thai businesses and support their successful expansion into
the European market.
