ในโอกาสดังกล่าว ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเพื่อติดตามผลการประชุมปรึกษาหารือทางการเมืองระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศไทย-อาเซอร์ไบจาน ครั้งที่ 1 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเมื่อเดือนธันวาคม 2568
ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ รวมทั้งโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนในระดับต่าง ๆ และติดตามความคืบหน้าของการจัดทำความตกลงระหว่างกัน

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึงสาขาความร่วมมือในด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า และการลงทุนที่มีศักยภาพ อาทิ ความร่วมมือด้านพลังงาน อุตสาหกรรมอาหารและการเกษตร การคมนาคมขนส่งระหว่างภูมิภาค การส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยวและการมีเที่ยวบินตรงระหว่างกันเพื่อขยายความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชนต่อประชาชน

Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Thailand

On 4 February 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Elchin Ragub oglu Bashirov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Thailand, together with the Director of the Eastern Europe Division and officials.

On this occasion, both sides discussed follow-up on the outcomes of the 1st Thailand-Azerbaijan Political Consultations, which were held in December 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They also exchanged views on opportunities for exchanges of visits at various levels, as well as reviewed progress of pending bilateral agreements.

In addition, both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment, for instance, cooperation in energy, the food and agricultural industries, regional transportation connectivity, tourism, and the establishment of direct flights between the two countries, with a view to further enhancing people-to-people ties.
