พิธีลงนามความตกลงระหว่างจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยกับ Instituto Cervantes ประจำกรุงมะนิลา

          เมื่อวันที่ 10 กรกฎาคม 2567 นางครองขนิษฐ รักษ์เจริญ อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีลงนามความตกลงระหว่างจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยกับ Instituto Cervantes ประจำกรุงมะนิลา ซึ่งเป็นการลงนามระหว่าง รศ. ดร. สุรเดช โชติอุดมพันธ์ คณบดีคณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย กับนาย Javier Galván ผู้อำนวยการ Instituto Cervantes ประจำกรุงมะนิลา ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรสเปนประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อจัดตั้งห้องเรียนภาษาสเปน (Aula Cervantes) และส่งเสริมการเรียนการสอนภาษาสเปนในมหาวิทยาลัย โดยมีเอกอัครราชทูตกลุ่มประเทศที่พูดภาษาสเปนในประเทศไทย อาทิ เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอาร์เจนตินาประจำประเทศไทย เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐชิลีประจำประเทศไทย เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเปรูประจำประเทศไทย และนักวิชาการจากมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีหลักสูตรภาษาสเปน อาทิ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ และมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เข้าร่วมพิธีลงนามด้วย

          ทั้งนี้ Instituto Cervantes เป็นหน่วยงานของรัฐบาลสเปนที่ทำหน้าที่เผยแพร่ภาษาและวัฒนธรรมสเปน รวมถึงการจัดสอบวัดระดับภาษาสเปน และสำนักงาน Cervantes ประจำกรุงมะนิลามีหน้าที่ดูแลกลุ่มประเทศเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ นอกจากนี้ ภาษาสเปนเป็นภาษาที่มีคนใช้มากที่สุดเป็นอันดับ 2 ของโลก และเมื่อปี 2566 ภาษาสเปนได้รับการบรรจุเข้าสู่ระบบการสอบวัดความรู้เชิงวิชาการ (Applied Knowledge Level: A-Level) เพื่อสอบเข้าศึกษาต่อระดับอุดมศึกษาด้วย

Signing Ceremony of the Agreement between Chulalongkorn University
and Instituto Cervantes Manila

          On 10 July 2024, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs attended the signing ceremony of the Agreement between Chulalongkorn University and Instituto Cervantes Manila, which was signed between Assoc. Prof. Suradech  Chotiudompant, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Javier Galván, Director of the Insituto Cervantes Manila, at the residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Thailand, for the establishment of a Spanish classroom (Aula Cervantes) in order to promote the teaching of Spanish in the university. The ceremony was attended by Ambassadors of Spanish-speaking countries in Thailand, such as the Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Thailand, the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Thailand, the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Thailand, as well as academics from universities that offer Spanish language courses, such as Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University and Khon Kaen University.

          The Instituto Cervantes is a Spanish government agency based in Manila that promotes the Spanish language and culture including the Spanish proficiency test in Southeast Asian countries. In addition, Spanish is the world’s second most spoken language and was included in the Applied Knowledge Level (A-Level) entrance examination system taken in Thailand in 2023 for universities admission.
