เมื่อวันที่ 16 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายศรัณย์ เจริญสุวรรณ ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมการเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี ของนาย Noel Clehane
รองประธานคณะกรรมการบริหารสภาธุรกิจสหภาพยุโรป-อาเซียน (EU-ASEAN Business Council: EU-ABC) และผู้แทนจากสมาคมการค้ายูโรเปียนเพื่อธุรกิจและการพาณิชย์ (European Association for Business and Commerce : EABC) พร้อมด้วยภาคเอกชนยุโรปที่ดำเนินธุรกิจในประเทศไทย โดยมีผู้แทนหน่วยงานรัฐที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ กระทรวงพลังงาน กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม
กระทรวงสาธารณสุข เข้าร่วม ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี ทำเนียบรัฐบาล

ในโอกาสนี้ ฝ่ายไทยได้แสดงความพร้อมที่จะส่งเสริมการค้าและการลงทุนกับยุโรปในอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต อาทิ ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ รถยนต์ไฟฟ้า พลังงานหมุนเวียน การรักษาพยาบาล
และแสดงความมุ่งมั่นที่จะสรุปการเจรจา FTA ไทย-อียูให้ลุล่วง รวมถึงการผลักดันให้ไทยเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นแก่นักธรุกิจยุโรปที่ดำเนินธุรกิจในประเทศไทย

นายกรัฐมนตรียินดีต่อบทบาทและการมีส่วนร่วมอย่างต่อเนื่องของภาคเอกชนยุโรปในการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทย พร้อมย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของรัฐบาลในการส่งเสริมสภาพแวดล้อมด้านการลงทุนที่มีความโปร่งใส คาดการณ์ได้ และเอื้อต่อการดำเนินธุรกิจ

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังเห็นพ้องที่จะส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมสีเขียว และห่วงโซ่อุปทานที่ยั่งยืน รวมถึงการปรับปรุงกฎระเบียบให้ทันสมัยยิ่งขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างทั้งสองฝ่าย

Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs participated in the courtesy call on Prime Minister by EU-ASEAN Business Council and European Business Leaders to Strengthen Thailand–Europe Economic Partnership

H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, participated in the courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, by Mr. Noel Clehane, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC), together with representatives of the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) and European companies operating in Thailand. The courtesy call took place at Santi Maitri Building, Government House. Representatives from relevant Thai government agencies, including the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Public Health, and the Ministry of Commerce, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to deepening economic cooperation with Europe by promoting trade and investment in future-oriented industries, including artificial intelligence (AI), electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy, and healthcare. The Thai side also reiterated its determination to conclude negotiations on the Thailand–European Union Free Trade Agreement (Thailand–EU FTA) and to advance Thailand’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), with the aim of enhancing investor confidence and strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness as a destination for European businesses.

The Prime Minister welcomed the continued engagement of the European private sector in Thailand’s economic development and underscored the Government’s commitment to fostering a transparent, predictable, and business-friendly investment environment.

Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in promoting green industries, developing sustainable supply chains, and modernising regulatory frameworks to facilitate increased trade and investment between Thailand and Europe. They also highlighted the importance of enhanced public-private cooperation in supporting sustainable economic growth and expanding mutually beneficial business opportunities.
