เมื่อวันที่ ๘ ธันวาคม ๒๕๖๔ นายโจเซฟ แอนโทนี คอตเตอร์ เอกอัครราชทูตไอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายอสิ ม้ามณี อธิบดีกรมยุโรป เนื่องในโอกาสที่อธิบดีกรมยุโรปเข้ารับตำแหน่งใหม่ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยินดีกับความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างไทยกับไอร์แลนด์ และเห็นพ้องที่จะส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างกันในสาขาที่อยู่ในความสนใจและเป็นผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน อาทิ ด้านการศึกษา

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับการจัดการประชุม Political Consultations ไทย-ไอร์แลนด์ ครั้งที่ ๑ โดยฝ่ายไอร์แลนด์ได้แสดงความพร้อมที่จะเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมฯ ณ กรุงดับลิน ในปี ๒๕๖๕ เพื่อเป็นกรอบหารือสำหรับการทบทวนและผลักดันความร่วมมือระหว่างกันให้เพิ่มพูนยิ่งขึ้น

Ambassador of Ireland to Thailand pays a courtesy call on Director-General of European Affairs Department.

On 8 December 2021, H.E. Mr. Joseph Anthony Cotter, Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Asi Mamanee, Director-General of Department of European Affairs Department, on the occasion of the assumption of duty as the Director-General. Both sides welcomed the cordial relations between Thailand and Ireland and agreed to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual benefits and interest such as education.

In addition, both sides discussed the holding of the first round of Political Consultations between Thailand and Ireland in Dublin next year. The said meeting would serve as a mechanism for taking stock of and expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
