เมื่อวันที่ 21–22 สิงหาคม 2569 คณะเจ้าหน้าที่กรมยุโรป กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ นำโดย น.ส. สมฤดี พู่พรอเนก อธิบดีกรมยุโรป ได้เดินทางไปศึกษาดูงาน ณ สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล (DEPA) ภายใน Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) จ. ชลบุรี และศูนย์เลิศพนานุรักษ์ ณ สถานี PTT LNG จ.ระยอง โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแสวงหาลู่ทางและโอกาสในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานดังกล่าวกับกรมยุโรป รวมถึงการต่อยอดสู่การขยายความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในภูมิภาคยุโรป ในด้านเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล (Digital Economy) และการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่พลังงานสีเขียว (Green Transition)

การศึกษาดูงานที่ Thailand Digital Valley ประกอบด้วยการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับภารกิจการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล โดย น.ส. กษมา กองสมัคร รองผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ กลุ่มงานยุทธศาสตร์และความมั่นคง สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล (DEPA) รวมถึงบทบาทและการดำเนินงานของ Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) ในโอกาสดังกล่าว คณะได้ดูงานที่บริษัท Ericsson ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในบริษัทภายในพื้นที่ TDV ในด้านการประยุกต์เครือข่าย 5G เพื่อให้บริการด้านโลจิสติกส์ โครงสร้างพื้นฐานอัจฉริยะ และการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมภายในเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC) ด้วย

นอกจากนี้ คณะกรมยุโรป ได้ศึกษาดูงานที่ศูนย์เลิศพนานุรักษ์ ภายในสถานี PTT LNG จ.ระยอง รวมทั้งได้แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับพลังงานทางเลือกและการเตรียมการเพื่อเข้าสู่ Net Zero Carbon ในปี ค.ศ. 2050 ตลอดจนแนวทางความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัยและพัฒนากับประเทศในยุโรป

กรมยุโรปขอขอบคุณ DEPA และ PTT LNG สำหรับความร่วมมือและการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์ ที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการขยายโอกาสและต่อยอดความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในภูมิภาคยุโรปต่อไป

Department of European Affairs Organises a Study Visit Programme to Eastern Thailand as a part of Proactive Economic Diplomacy

From 21–22 August 2026, the Department of European Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Director-General of the DEA, visited the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) at Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) in Chonburi and the Centre of Excellence for Forest Preservation at PTT LNG in Rayong. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation between the DEA and these institutions, to further advance Thailand’s cooperation with Europe in the areas of digital economy and green transition.

The visit to Thailand Digital Valley (TDV) included a briefing on mission of promoting the digital economy, delivered by Ms. Kasama Kongsmak, Acting Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of DEPA, as well as an overview of the role and operations of Thailand Digital Valley (TDV). On this occasion, the delegation also explored Ericsson’s 5G applications in logistics, smart infrastructure and industrial development within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

In addition, the delegation visited Centre of Excellence for Forest Preservation at PTT LNG in Rayong Province. This visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on alternative energy, and preparation towards achieving Net Zero Emission by 2050, as well as potential avenues for research and development between Thailand and European nations.

The DEA extends its appreciation to DEPA and PTT LNG for their cooperation and valuable exchange of knowledge and expertise, which will contribute to expanding opportunities and further advancing economic cooperation between Thailand and European countries.
